Megan trained as a nurse at the University of Edinburgh before completing her MSc at Cardiff University. She first joined the NIHR Maudsley BRC in 2007 as research nurse in the department of Old Age Psychiatry, managing the Alzheimer's disease biomarker studies and clinical trial portfolio of Professor Sir Simon Lovestone. In 2013 Megan joined the CRIS team as Training and Development Lead, supporting clinicians and researchers using CRIS and associated services such as clinical data linkage and natural language processing and managing over 100 project applications each year. In 2023 Megan returned to the NIHR Maudsley BRC as the Clinical Informatics Service Lead, managing the transition and development of the new service from proof of concept to a fully supported service within the Trust.
